Storm Austen in My Windy Garden 💨 How Are the Plants Holding Up?

Storm Austen has arrived in my corner of West Sussex. During a break in the rain I took a little walk around the garden to see how everything was holding up, with the wind still blowing hard through the trees and plants.
A different kind of garden tour
This one is a bit different from my usual videos. There is no talking and there are no gardening jobs today. It is just five minutes in the garden, so you can see and hear what a blustery autumn day is like here.
My garden is called My Windy Garden for a reason, and days like this are a good reminder of why. The raised beds, the pots by the house and the hanging basket all had to cope with it.
Walking round between the showers
I waited for a gap in the rain before heading out. The lawn was already scattered with fallen leaves, and everything was moving in the wind, from the fruit trees along the fence to the flowers spilling out of the raised beds near the house.
Sometimes I think it is worth simply standing in the garden and watching, rather than always doing something. Stormy weather has its own kind of beauty, even when you are a little worried about your plants.
