A Quick Thank You to My Gardening Community 🌱💚

Hello everyone, do not be alarmed, it is only me, Aga. This week is a little different. I had a medical procedure the day before recording, so my face is a bit swollen and I am wearing a mask, and I wasn't really planning on filming at all. But I couldn't let the week pass without saying a proper thank you.
A different kind of video this week
I usually record my videos around the weekend, and I had not planned to make one this week because of a small medical procedure. There was something growing on my face that needed to be removed, the procedure was a bit invasive, and I am still a little swollen and sounding funny, so please do forgive me for the mask and the voice.
Even so, I wanted to sit down and speak to you, because the response to my last video has been something I simply could not ignore.
A response I never expected
Last Sunday I uploaded a video about everything growing in my small kitchen garden. To me it was just another weekly video, the kind of thing I share most weeks without any real expectations. I never imagined it would land the way it did.
As I am recording this on a Saturday evening, that video has almost 7,000 views. My channel is small and I have not been doing this for very long, so those numbers are genuinely overwhelming for me. I honestly don't quite know what is going on, but I am so grateful.
From 500 subscribers to something I never had before
When I uploaded that video I had just a little over 500 subscribers. Since then the channel has gained close to 300 new subscribers, which is something that has never happened to me before. My channel only reached the 500 mark very recently, I think around the beginning or second week of June.
That milestone unlocked the hype button under some of my videos. I am still not entirely sure how it works or what it gives you, but where I used to get maybe two or three hypes on a video, the recent one had something like 13 or 15. For a channel my size, that feels like a humongous amount of support.
Thank you for sharing your gardens with me
What touched me most was not the numbers but the comments. So many of you shared stories of your own gardens with me, and reading them was genuinely lovely. I really did not expect a response like that to what felt like just another ordinary video.
My hope with that video was to show that you don't need a big space to grow vegetables and fruit. You can do so much in a very small plot. Knowing it connected with so many of you means a great deal.
In this video
- Why this week's video is a little different
- The small kitchen garden video reaching almost 7,000 views
- Nearly 300 new subscribers since last Sunday
- How the hype button surprised me
- A heartfelt thank you for all your comments and stories
I am not doing anything else in the garden today, but if all goes well and my face is back to normal-ish, I will be back with a proper video next week. Thank you again to everyone who clicked, watched, liked, commented, subscribed and hyped. I am so happy and so grateful. I hope you'll stick around, and I will see you in the next one. Bye-bye.
